If you are about to have a party (just a reminder to respect restrictions, please!) and looking for snack ideas, you are in the right place. The nachos with beef is an AMAZING snack for your party. It is so delicious that will be the center of attention all party long, and you may be asked for a bis. And then it’s your problem lol, o get ready!

I fell in love with beef nachos during my trip to Mexico. Tortillas in Mexico are all around the corner, literally. I was actually surprised by how many dishes one can make using tortillas. I love tasting local dishes and taking the best out of them with me on my way back. The nachos with beef was one of them. The recipe you are going to read below is my favorite nachos recipe as it has the best match of ingredients and flavors.

If you have never made nachos for your party, this is your moment! But we’ve got a problem here! You may be asked for a bis, and then it’s your problem lol. I still wonder how to best describe this snack: crunchy, fresh, hot, cold, soft, tender… It has a great mix of amazing flavors and textures. And it’s also so colorful that will definitely look great on the table. I wish you could smell the nachos with beef now that I am about to take them out of the oven. Omg, loving it!

This nachos with beef is a gluten-free recipe. If you or your friends are vegetarian instead, you can replace meat with soy, chickpeas or even tofu. What is great about this snack is that there are no limits to imagination: add more ingredients or skip others. BUT! What is fundamental here is the homemade taco seasoning! Oh before I forget: let me give you a quick tip; if you have some leftovers, do not store the nachos in fridge. You better leave them on the countertop covered with some baking paper, otherwise the nachos absorb humidity. I am pretty sure this would not happen as the beef nachos will finish in a minute! 🙂

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400F)
  • Place a sheet of parchment paper on the baking tray
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic and let it cook for a minute, then add beef and let it cook for approx 5 minutes
  • Add homemade taco seasoning and mix well (homemade taco seasoning recipe is here - https://www.pastapestopizza.com/recipes/homemade-taco-seasoning-diy-taco-seasoning/
  • Place tortilla chips on the baking tray in a single layer
  • Top them with meat mixture, black beans, corn and cheese
  • Bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted
  • Take the nachos with beef out of the oven, top with tomato, onion, jalapeno, sour cream, and cilantro or parsley, and serve right away

Notes

  • you can use any yellow cheese or a mix of two/three different types of cheese
  • if you are vegetarian, replace the meat with chickpeas, soya or even tofu
