Ukrainian Cabbage Rolls | Stuffed Cabbage | Golubtsi

I couldn’t say if the Ukrainian cabbage rolls is the national dish of the country (if you know the answer or more of their story, let me know in the comments!), yet I am sure if they had to compete, they would definitely be on top of the stage. So what is so special about the flavor of these stuffed cabbage rolls, especially considering their simple and inexpensive ingredients? It is all about juicy meat, cabbage and carrot flavor, and of course the sauce!

Ukrainian Apple Cake | Yabluchnyk

When I was a kid, my Grandma was baking apple cakes nearly every week. I even have her recipe on the website, click here to check it out. It is one of my favorite apple cakes for sure, but now that I came up with the Ukrainian apple cake recipe, I must admit there are two best apple cake recipes on my favorite recipe list. Yes, the ingredients are pretty much the same, but the dough and so the flavor are completely different.

Honey Mustard Chicken

Making the honey mustard chicken means being so impatient! Not because it takes time to make it, not at all! It’s because of the smell all over the kitchen! Oh and the taste! You will love the sweet and savory flavor that the glaze gives to the dish.

Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan | Asparagus with Eggs

What is the first dish that comes to your mind thinking of asparagus? Boiled? Roasted? Steamed? What about roasted asparagus with Parmesan, aka asparagus with eggs (poached!)? Ahh definitely one of my favorites! It is so fresh, so quick to make, so colorful and so so so delicious. Even better if you have local farmer eggs (the “0” ones) as we want poached eggs here. Great for brunch, even better for lunch, this asparagus with poached eggs will be loved by everyone!

Healthy Peanut Butter | Homemade Peanut Butter

If you had to choose between roasted or plain peanuts, which one would you go for? Got it, me too! This is what makes this nut butter taste so good! It takes a little while to make it, but at the end of the day it is your blender that does all the job for you 🙂 What can you make having homemade peanut butter? The list of ideas is endless! What is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below.

Chocolate Mug Cake

It takes a moment to prepare the dough, and anothe couple of minutes to cook. The ingredients are really simple. I am sure you always have them in your kitchen. I promise it will be really quick and the result will be amazing! Oh I love quick breakfast recipes!

Sugared Cranberries | Candied Cranberries

It seemed complicated until I tried making sugared cranberries | candied cranberries myself. Oh how super easy it is! And the sugar coating is not a mystery anymore 😀

Chocolate Salami

I know this chocolate salami since I was a kid. I remember my mom making it at times, and it was one of the most delicious sweets. There are quite many combinations of this chocolate salami, yet the one I share below is my favorite. I like this one because it has some bitter cocoa in it that makes the flavor even stronger (some people make it with dark chocolate instead). And those hazelnuts. Ohhh those roasted hazelnuts!

Thumbprint Cookies

The thumbprint cookies can be made with any type of jam or marmalade. I had some orange marmalade (that is a special one as it is made by my Grandma :)) so I used it for the cookies this time. If I had to go for another jam or marmalade, I would use cranberry or raspberry jam. Both are a bit bitter and I trust they both make the thumbprint cookies really delicious.

Red Pesto

The red pesto is a super quick to make sauce. It can be a great option for an easy-to-make and simple lunch. When working full time, there is not a lot of time left for cooking your lunch. This is why I love to have some homemade pesto in my fridge. All I need to do then, is to make some pasta, and the one I love most with the pesto is spaghetti. I will soon share a great spaghetti with pesto rosso recipe. I till have a secret ingredient, so make sure to follow me on social to be the first to find it out!
