Salmon is one of my favorite fishes, it can be prepared in many different ways and one or the other, it always tastes amazing. I find this honey mustard salmon to be special. The fish is salty while the mix of honey and mustard adds sweetness and sourness. Keep on reading to find out more.

The honey mustard salmon may seem difficult to make, but it is actually a really quick and easy recipe. Not only, it is a great option for busy days so a dinner saver. If you want to get even more flavor, leave the salmon covered in sauce for approx 10 minutes before cooking. This will help the fish to absorb the flavors of the sauce.

What I love about this honey mustard salmon is that it takes a moment to prepare it, and a blink to keep it still for a nice nap in the oven. As I wanted to make it even quicker, I used grill this time. And I didn’t even have a moment to take a deep breath that it was ready. In our family we are not used to have meat or fish with side dishes, we usually eat them plain. But if you want salad, rice or even potatoes, you are feel to do so. In any way or the other, the dish will be amazing.

  • Whisk together honey and mustard
  • Cover the salmon filets and let them marinate for 10 minutes
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C or grill following manufacturer's instructions
  • Cook the salmon for 5-7 minutes each side, starting by skin part first
  • Sprinkle with parsley and pistachio before serving

Notes

  • you can add salt and pepper to the honey and mustard sauce if needed, I prefer without, but you are free to choose your favorite
  • you can squeeze some lemon on top of the salmon before cooking, I prefer serving the lemon aside, yet cooking with the lemon is not a bad idea either
