To be honest with you, I was never a big fan of Nutella. Yes, I could enjoy it in the croissants. You got me right, not even Breadstick Nutella nor Nutella B-ready!

Things changed when the Nutella biscuits went to sale. Everyone was crazy, the cookies were soon out of stock at any grocery store. I then decided to get them after all the madness passes. And I did. And since the very first bite I knew I will make them myself!

Although I have tried multiple recipes, some made Nutella burn, others were too sweet. This Nutella cookie recipe is the perfect set of everything: Nutella chocolate, sweetness, saltiness… and freshness! The first time I baked them, I simply left them in a plate on the countertop. Naaaa, they hardened so much that the next time I made them, I decided to move them to a glass container and cover with the lid. And it worked so well! They were always so soft and delicious!

Give these stuffed cookies a try, you will love them!

  • Get your chocolate cream ready first. Put the tablespoon size chocolate droppings on the wax paper and leave them in the freezer for at least one hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Place the butter in a pan and let it melt over a medium-low hear. Once melted, let it cool.
  • Add sugar into cooled butter, mix well.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Chop your chocolate bar and add it to the mixture. Mix well.
  • Let the dough cool in the fridge for about 20 minutes (the dough will harden that will make it easier to work with).
  • Take your Nutella droppings and dough out of the frigde/freezer. Get a piece of dough and press frozen Nutella into the center. Roll into an even ball and place on wax paper. Place the balls at least 2 inches apart.
  • Bake the Nutella cookies for 13-15 minutes or until the edges start turning golden brown.
  • Sprinkle with salt right after you take the biscuits out of the oven. Let them cool and harden.
