Fruits can be a great refreshment on a hot sunny day, as well as a great dessert in winter at the end of Sunday dinner with the family. Why not trying this great homemade fruit salad with honey lime dressing? It has only a few ingredients, but the combination is fantastic, and the dressing is heavenly!

I love all and any fruits, especially if I can get them from local farmers. Say yesterday my friend Fabio gave me some cherries from his courtyard here around Milan. Sugar-free fruit salad is loved by kids too, it is full of colors and the smell is amazing. Is there anything bad about this salad then? Sure! The fact that you need to keep it in fridge for some time before serving. I knowwwww, this is not fair, but the flavor is worth waiting, trust me!

The homemade fruit salad is so quick to make. It only requires a couple of ingredients, and all you have to do is to cut them into cubes or slices, or any other shape you like. You better don’t waste your time if you think of not making the dressing. IT’S A MUST HERE! I know it bothers waiting for the salad to get ready, but the flavors need to mix between themselves so that the salad results most refreshing and delicious.

There are quite many ways to make homemade fruit salad, but this is one of my favorite. Why? Because with only a couple of ingredients I can make such a delicious salad. And I love its colors! It looks so beautiful on the dinner table, or at a party. Take tiny single-use paper glasses and fill them in with some salad, you will see how beautiful they look on the party table.   • Cut kiwi, apple and strawberries into cubes or any other shape you like
  • In a tiny bowl, mix honey with lime juice and pour onto the fruit mix
  • Keep in fridge for 30 minutes before serving

Notes

  • cover the salad with some wrap before putting it into the fridge for cooling
  • if you don't have lime, you can substitute it with lemon
  • you can add more or less of any fruit, it is all up to you!
  • I love lime and honey so I put loads (I say it - I mean it!)
