Soft inside and crunchy outside, this is what duchess potatoes are! The duchess potatoes are so easy to make, and look amazingly as side dish with meat or fish. A fancy meringue shape potatoes will definitely be attention winners on any table. Can you imagine eating them as a snack? Oh ok, I thought I am not the only one lol
Preparing the duchess potatoes may seem time consuming, but this is not so true. All you need to do is to boil the potatoes, and mix the purée with other ingredients (follow some more detailed instructions below). If you have kids, call them to make the potatoes together, especially when it comes to the icing pipe. You will see how side dish preparation can become a fun time with your kids!
No worries, if you do not have the icing bag, you can still make the duchess potatoes. You can use the ziploc bag or any plastic bag you have, just cut the corner and you are done. In case you don't have any of these either, simply take a scoop with the spoon, and you are good to go. At the end of the day, it is the flavor that matters, agree? :)
